Savage Nomads

A St. Thomas native that went by "Black Benji" started the Savage Nomads. They were called the "Nomads on Wheels" when they first started and their base was The South Bronx, NY. Benji got locked up in 1973; vice president "Crazy Joe" took over until his death in the early 80's. The gang got recognition from their documentary released on VHS about them and the "Savage Skulls" titled "80 Block From Tiffany's", put out in 1979, and from another, "Flyin' Cut Sleeves" in 1993. Aside from the Nomads being a mixed conglomeration that anyone could be a part of, they branched out of NYC and even had chapters in Connecticut.
